My name is Anne Smyrl. I am a collections professional educated in the United States, and I've worked primarily at small to medium instiutions. I specialize in, among other things, creating custom enclosures for artifacts, ideally using materials that my institution either already has or can easily acquire. I am very much self taught in the art of creating enclosures, and I am deeply indebted to the time and effort that other professionals and institutions have devoted to making their patterns, resources, and advice available.
My goal with this website is to centralize all of the enclosure patterns that I use, for my own reference and to give back to the broader community. All of the patterns on this site are patterns that I have either adapted from other sources or iterated through trial and error. All of the images and diagrams on this site are mine, unless indicated otherwise. The content on this website has been placed under a Creative Commons Free Culture License .
